Being a mom with babies at my age (42) isn't so bad after all....


"Many centenarian women have a history of bearing children after the age of 35 years and even 40 years. From our studies, a woman who naturally has a child after the age of 40 has a 4 times greater chance of living to 100 compared to women who do not. It is probably not the act of bearing a child in one's forties that promotes long life, but rather, doing so may be an indicator that the woman's reproductive system is aging slowly and that the rest of her body is as well. Such slow aging and the avoidance or delay of diseases that adversely impact reproduction would bode well for the woman's subsequent ability to achieve very old age."

HEY BTW...still doing family tree stuff..and just stumbled on some new info on our Pool side. We found out..through some DNA testing that our real name is actually Pettypool!! What a trip eh? Somebody obviously didn't like the Petty part and dropped it like a hot potato! LOL!! Could be that they were Petty thiefs? Prolly..knowing THAT side of my family. ugh!

The Bennets

Taking a cue from Zelie I've decided to rename my kids after the five daughters in one of my favorite literary works "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen. Henceforth my five daughters shall be known as Jane, Elizabeth "Lizzy", Mary, Catherine "Kitty", and Lydia. It will be a bit confusing for me at first, as our Elisabeth will not be Elizabeth. ;o) But it will be fun. I've always had a hard time giving my youngest three clever names, and now this will solve the problem. I will change their names in the side bar later.
