Adventures in moving

Last time we sold a house, we were buying another 15 miles away... and that was hair-raising trying to close escrow on both. Our buyer almost fell out of escrow, but our own realtor gave up his fees to help our buyer purchase our house so that we wouldn't then, in succession, fall out of escrow on the house we were buying.... Now we're doing it with houses 2300 miles apart! We can afford to buy a house in Ohio without having sold this one... but we'd rather not! That feels like counting chickens before they're hatched. Our buyer has 17 days from today to show proof of funding... and 17 days from today is also the day we are flying out to Ohio to look at houses! We had already scheduled our travel dates before we sold our house! How close is that? Our realtor has worked with the other realtor one time before... and he did not show proof of funding within 17 days... so she canceled the sale. He was a bit shocked... he didn't think she would do it... but she did

According to this quiz I'm: 1: Baptist (non-Calvinistic)/Plymouth Brethren/Fundamentalist (100%) 2: Pentecostal/Charismatic/Assemblies of God (90%) 3: Anabaptist (Mennonite/Quaker etc.) (82%) 4: Seventh-Day Adventist (81%) 5: Baptist (Reformed/Particular/Calvinistic) (78%) 6: Congregational/United Church of Christ (75%) 7: Methodist/Wesleyan/Nazarene (74%) 8: Eastern Orthodox (69%) 9: Anglican/Episcopal/Church of England (65%) 10: Lutheran (58%) 11: Church of Christ/Campbellite (50%) 12: Presbyterian/Reformed (45%) 13: Roman Catholic (43%) That's funny... I wouldn't say I'm at all like most Fundamentalists I know and Pentecostal/Charismatic/AOG churches usually scare me. I would have thought I was more Lutheran than Calvinist.... mmm... if you take it let me know how accurate you find it.
Zelie already posted this, but I loved it so much I think it earns a repeat: The Blessing of Living on One Income

I'm so excited I'm about to have a wool-eyed-booger-fit...

We're finally getting down to really moving after a year of "about to" . Today the head office called to ask how many sq ft and how many bedrooms our current house has... which means they're really working on moving company estimates for the relocation package!! I'm so excited. I love moving.

A Large Family as a Witness & Ministry by Mrs. Traci Knoppe

Just wondering out loud...

Ever notice how those Dateline NBC type investigave "reports" will have you completely sure someone is guilty the first half of the show... and in the second half completely convince you otherwise? Is their 11 O'Clock news cast equally fair and balanced?
