Can I just sit here and sigh happy sighs?

About a week ago "Fanny" was sick for a few days... now she likes to walk around holding the ear thermometer against her ear.

Window Stars

Leah asked how I made my window stars... I have a couple of books that I used that are listed in my LibraryThing , but Moey at Mamma's Heart & Hearth has posted a great tutorial. The books will give you many more patterns if you want to expand your collection. Moey has also linked to one of the books from her site... if you click the picture it will take you right to Amazon where you can read more about it. :) (Leah, I miss Jewels too!)

Results of Jane's Allergy Testing

She is allergic to ALL environmental allergens, EXCEPT Mountain Cedar, Cockroaches and Dogs. She is going to start on allergy shots next week and will be on those for the next 1-5 years, and they gave her a Twin Jet Epi Pen to carry in her purse for emergencies. So, it appears she can live in a Mountain Cedar forest with a Pug and a Madagascar Hissing Cockroach for pets, and do just fine. Ironically, Mountain Cedar is one of the most potent allergens for most of the U.S. population... but not for Jane. It grows mainly in Oklahoma & Texas. As far as food allergies go, they are not as extensive. She is going to have further blood testing on those... Rye & Corn are certain allergens for her... the blood tests will focus on Dairy, Peanuts, Tree Nuts, Soy and Kiwi.

I would gather children

Image
Some would gather money Along the path of life; Some would gather roses, And rest from worldly strife. But I would gather children From among the thorns of sin; I would seek a golden curl, And a freckled, toothless grin. For money cannot enter In that land of endless day; And roses that are gathered Soon will wilt along the way. But, oh, the laughing children, As I cross the sunset sea, And the gates swing wide to heaven  I can take them in with me. -Author Unknown

Birthday Money

Image
Mary received some birthday money from one of her grandmas, and today she spent it on this lovely sun bonnet. Yes, she does love reading the Little House books. :)
