It doesn't always work

I tried posting via e-mail again, doing everything exactly the same as I did before, only posting *from* a different e-mail account, and I got this message:

Posting via e-mail just to see how it works.

The Princess

Finally giving you something new to read...

...though it's not much. ;o)

We are having a wonderful time with my mother-in-law visiting from the Netherlands. Every week a little site-seeing, a little shopping, but not too much. ;o)

Today we went to my women's Bible Study group, where we have started our first week of The 40 Days of Purpose. Some of you know, already, that I do not stand 100% behind the Purpose Driven movement... especially when it comes to applying MegaChurch tactics to MiniChurches of 150 or less... but I think there are many good things in the 40 Day study. If anything, I do love sharing with this group of women I have known for a while and it's different sharing things with dear & familiar faces... where we have already shared many laughs and sorrows together... than sharing in a group of strangers.

Our home school also had a week off for Herfst Vakantie (or Fall Break), so I have had a nice week off from lesson planning and grading, and the girls have had lots of free time. Rembrandt has knitted some belts for herself, Barrett, and The Rose. She's now working on a cross-stitch project. Barrett has been playing more piano and doing some beadwork. The Rose has been drawing a lot, while the Princess and She Who Triumphs have gone their usual merry way, as they don't yet do formal schoolwork anyway... they have been playing with their doll babies and swinging in the garden a lot. I have started knitting a dress for The Rose that includes a difficult edging that quite cramped my fingers, but now I've gotten past that part and I'm now enjoying the rythm of knit and purl.

It's the weekend! DH will be home soon for dinner. I have planned my mom's Hawaiian Chicken:

1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp dry mustard
1/4 tsp nutmeg
Chicken pieces
1 cup chopped onion
2 T vinegar
1 lb can pineapple chunks
1 cup chicken stock
1T parsley

Mix salt, pepper, mustard, nutmeg and rub over chicken pieces. place in
casserole add onion vinegar, pineapple and stock.

Bake at 350* about 1 1/2 -2 hours. Garnish with parsley
