Pride & Prejudice

Opening tomorrow in theatres!!!

View trailers here

Of course, with MIL here, I can't go see it. Even without her here, I couldn't go see it (no babysitter), but the sooner it's in theatres, the sooner I can rent it on PayPerView. :) WhooHoo!!

Thank you for sharing the links to the P & P trailer. It looks pretty good. The music was very nice....I think I will wait for the DVD tho ....

I wonder which style of dress is closer to Jane Austen's vision? The girls look less well off in the new version, don't they?

I don't think the dresses in the 1940 version were accurate at all... the gauzy droopy sleeves... though some of the necklines were okay. I haven't seen the 1958 UK version. The 1980 PBS one made me think of a dressy "Little House on the Prairie" rather than the Regency period... but I guess the Regency period is rather broadly defined.

Of course, a blip of a preview doesn't give me a close enough look, either, to be all too critical. ;o)

Wait a minute, I thought it didn't come out until December in the US...?

Oh phooey... that's probably why I can't find it in theaters here! Oh well, I still have to wait for Pay Per View or the DVD.... but hey... December... I may have family visiting that can babysit!!!
